Fluffy Twists generally last 4–8 weeks depending on hair type, maintenance, and activity level. Keeping your scalp moisturized, sleeping with a satin bonnet, and avoiding excessive manipulation helps them stay fresh longer. Schedule touch-ups as needed to maintain the look.
Hair is not included in the Fluffy Twist service. You may bring your own synthetic or human hair, or purchase recommended texture-matched hair at our salon. We’ll advise on the best type and amount during consultation and help you choose.
Wash, deep-condition, and thoroughly detangle hair 24–48 hours before your appointment. Avoid heavy oils or creams that weigh hair down. Hair should be completely dry and free of major styling products to ensure a clean install and lasting hold.
Sleep on satin, loosely pineapple or wrap at night, and moisturize scalp with a lightweight oil or spray. Avoid constant pulling and heavy products that flatten twists. Refresh edges gently and cleanse the scalp as needed to preserve volume and health.
You can swim and exercise, but take precautions: wear a swim cap, rinse and condition hair after chlorine or saltwater, and rehydrate with a light leave-in. Excessive friction and chemicals can shorten longevity, so dry and care for twists promptly.
Installation time varies with hair length, twist size, and density—typically between 2 and 5 hours. Smaller twists or thicker natural hair may take longer. We provide an estimated time when you book and accommodate scheduling requests where possible.
